The drainage grid sits at the bottom of the pot and leaves an air gap between the root zone and any water that collects. This keeps the roots from sitting in water all the time, reduces the risk of rot and lets the soil breathe. Its footed structure lifts the grid off the base, while the holes in the surface let excess water drain away. The model with a water level indicator has a transparent gauge tube that lets you read the amount of water in the pot from outside, helping you avoid over- or under-watering. Both parts are made in sizes compatible with Serinova pots.
